Superchips f5/TCM problem
I've been talking with Superchips Tech support because my tuner keeps going into recovery mode. The tuners data log/history says that it could not communicate with my tcm.
Anyone have any suggestions before I replace tcm or return tuner?
My truck runs and shifts fine, no obd codes, no Trans temp light. No dash lights at all. Trans temp light came on a few times months ago but has not came on since new engine. (I just put in a new remanded longblock last month) All electrical plugs were cleaned with electrical connection cleaner and reinstalled with dielectric grease during engine replace.
The tech support guy I talked was very understanding and did try everything he could to fix my problem. A+ for customer service

If the Superchips Tech cannot help, I doubt you'll find any additional info on the F5 programmer here. Most (probably all) of us are using the older Superchips 3865 or Cortex 3950 programmers. I wouldn't think replacing any parts is a better idea than returning the F5.
Can you tell me why does so many choose the older 3865 over the new 3845?
I will probably go with flyin Ryan but still don't understand what would cause superchips to not be able to communicate with my tcm but work fine on 2 other trucks.
