p0304 problem

Unhappy p0304 problem

i have an 08 dodge dakota 4x4 6 cyl slt was getting P0304 code so i changed the coil paks and plugs.
but truck will run fine then it'll give me same problem then runs fine off and on any help will be apricated

if you had a misfire for a while, your catalytic converter may be clogged on that side due to unburned fuel being pushed through the cat, causing the intermittent issues as you are experiencing.

i recommend doing an application of seafoam. i prefer the aerosol one through the throttle body while others prefer the liquid one using a vaccum line. either are good.

i had the same thing with mine after having misfires and once i did the seafoam it completely fixed it.

There was another member with a similar issue, ended up being chafed wires near the coil itself. Would also explain the intermittent issues. Run it and wiggle the wires to see if you can duplicate it, or bust out the multimeter and start checking values.
