Bumping this up, Trest, I'm gettting mine all set now before I put it into the truck, mainly cuz I don't have the truck yet, but I'm looking at the intake tube, and it says I need to put a clamp over the tube, its the one that goes directly onto the piping, what the heck does that clamp do, and where do I put it and such? I can't figure that part of the instructions out.

i dont know why everyone complains about the 77 series....seriously, both are gonna get heated almost equally, so it doesnt really matter.

think about it....when its cold out....your engine will suck cold air...if its hot out, your engine will suck hot air, no matter what material the intake is made of.

Aren't there pictures on the instructions???

If not....here's the instructions from K&N's website....it literally shows how to do EVERYTHING.....it's a very simple install:

Ya Dan, I got everything figured out now, like if you look at pic 23, there is that silver clamp around the intake hose. I didn't understand where it went until I looked at pic 25... now all is fine and dandy. But thanks anyways man.

LMAO, I can see how it could have some misprints, but am I right with that clamp that goes around the tubing? Does it attach to the little metal holder thingy?

if you happen to look at my albums, you can see what type of set up i have with pics. the 63 series is a sweet intake and it gives you the option to relocate your i. a. t. sensor, and for cleaning the element is quite simple, with their cleaning and oiling kit, good luck with the intake

K&N shows the 57 series and 77 series available for the 3.7L:

57-1547
