According to rockauto.com, there are two sizes 69.375 and 73.375. Those are for trucks with 4wd/awd transfer case. I know the 2011 3.7l w/o 4wd has a two piece drive shaft, but have no idea about the 4.7l. If you have the 4.7l with 4wd, it will be one of those two measurements. One of the diagrams from Dorman shows the measurement being based on the drives haft being removed and measured end to end.
I'm inclined to believe that most models have steel driveshafts.
My 2011 3.7l w/o 4wd is steel
I have 2x 2008 4.7l with 4wd, both with steel.
The 2006 4.7l with 4wd is steel.
The only one in my collection that had aluminium was the 2007 4.7l w/o 4wd, and that was an aftermarket part.
