I have a 2006 dodge Dakota 4x4 with the 4.7 and 6 speed transmission. I have the opportunity to buy a 3rd gen ram with the 5.7l hemi for $300. I was wondering how hard it would be to swap in the 5.7 and if I could keep the Getrag 238. the ram is an automatic and I don't like them. I have seen that that 5.7l in that time should make less torque than the newer 5.7s so that maybe the 6-speed I have can survive. If not could I use a NV3500 from a 2nd gen? also how hard would all the wiring be? thanks.
