Default Offroad shocks

Are there any good offroad shocks for our trucks? I just got this 2008 4wd crew cab 4.7L with a 2.5in lift. The shocks are all in bad shape. I was hoping to pop in some Bilstein 5100s or something similar but I can't find anything at all. I read in another thread that Ram 1500 shocks might fit but I haven't seen confirmation. Can anyone help me out here?

Rancho, Monroe, KYB and cheap Chinese knockoffs are all that's available these days. Rancho will offer the stiffest ride. and best for off roading.

Ram shocks are not a direct fit, so that's a no go. I still say Rancho struts and shocks are the best money that I've spent on my truck.
But maybe because the stock ones were just terrible.

will they work with modification or just also using the ram springs?

How do Rancho struts compare to Bilsteins? I don't really have experience with them. Will they work fine with the lift thats on the truck? The truck currently has cheap quick struts on and they sag really bad in the rear, especially with even a little weight.

On these trucks are these the same for the front and rear?

All i know is the Ranchos fit our Dakotas, I don't have any Ram parts on my truck, except the wheels. We have struts up front, and shocks out back. I found Rancho as the first set after stock, so I never tried any others.

Front struts = Rancho RS5757
Rear shocks = Rancho RS5315

2006-2008 Ram 1500 front struts might just work for a front lift. I went through different strut dimensions one day trying to find something good to use in a lowering application had a spreadsheet with dimension variances. Not sure about spring diameter though but the lower mount is the same. Just have to find a Rancho unit that crosses over to a Monroe 71111.

Vehicle - Year - Monroe P/N - Body Length - Compressed Length - Extended Length - Stroke
Dodge Dakota front strut - 2007-2008 - 71100 - 13.00" - 13.56" - 18.39" - 4.83"
Dodge Dakota front strut - 2009-2011 - 72517 - 12.94" - 13.44" - 18.39" - 4.95"
Ram 1500 Front strut - 2006-2008 - 71111 - 14.84" - 15.43" - 21.19" - 5.76"
