lemme get this straight....you want to make it a racing truck....yet your adding a "system" which will add to the weight....am i correct in thinking that these 2 concepts butt heads?

Yeah.....adding a system is for show (& sound too), but mainly for show. It's gonna add some weight....what like 50-100 pounds?

You don't see "race trucks" with systems.....the interior is usually stripped out...LOL

 

its great what Fast and the Furious has taught the kids....you can have a kickass system in a vehicle and still have it run a 9 second 1/4 so long as you got the NOS :P that and you can throw a laptop in a car that analyzes everything on the car at speed, drive 100+mph, work on said laptop at that speed, and not have said laptop rumble off the seat

 

I'm not going to be taking it to the strip or anything. I just want a truck that's going to be faster than it originally was. And to go the opposite of what 95% of people do to their trucks here, which is raise them 27". Ok, so maybe thats an exaggeration, but everyone around here wants to have the big ol' truck, so blah to them. And the system, if I use the minimum amount of weight should be about 58 pounds. So, if there isn't going to be a back seating area, then it shouldn't be too much heavier than stock. Maybe 30 pounds heavier. But like I said I'm not making it into a truck that I'm going to be racing. I just want it to look different than all the trucks out there, but still have the capabilities of a truck.

And on a side note... **** Fast and the Furious! I hate that damn show. Also, I don't street race. Just to clarify. Sure I may be a 20yr old male, but that doesn't mean I race, or speed, or do any of the other **** people my age do with their vehicles. So ya.

i just dont like "systems" i dont wanna be tone deaf when im 40. plus, the infinity sound system that came with my truck is perfect for me

 

Nono, I know you aren't. I'm just stating my ground. And, I personally don't listen to my music loud, but when we have our local SPL comp's here, I like to then make everyone be like, wait, he has a system in there? And then win the 500 bux they give as 1st prize.

But, ya I totally understand the adding weight to "race vehicles" ... every 100 pounds makes vehicle .1 second slower... I know all this jazz. So again, I'm not into making it into an actual racing truck. I just don't want an actual off road truck.

Plus, I know my truck won't ever be a race truck, seeing as how I have 4WD in it. Haha
