The only cool parts (over a regular dakota) are the body color painted bumpers/grille, blacked out headlights, 3.92 axle with LSD, embroidered seats, & the R/T gauges.
And for the price you'd actually pay for an R/T.....you're probably in the range of a Ram with a HEMI anyways!

I wish no offense to those owners of the R/T but for the Jack yur spending on it,it shouda came with more "fixins"!!!

I feel bad for the poor schmoe that gets suckered into buying a 2006 R/T.......after the salesman keeps telling him, "but it's an R/T"
He's gonna sell the thing in no time once he realizes it lacks the performance of previous R/T's and could've gotten almost the same features on a SLT or Laramie Dakota for $2,000-3,000 less.
(Features like 4.7 HO, 3.92, & LSD which are the important ones)
Cuz any true Dodge fan is gonna walk right by this new R/T and not even consider it.

I agree that the R/T should at least stand out from what can be ordered on a normal SLT... and not just cosmetically.
I have a 2005 SLT Quad-cab 4.7 H.O. and the 3.92 gears with the LSD and I'm sooo glad I didn't wait for the R/T to come out.
I would advise people to skip any overpriced package that is just a cosmetic fluffy sales gimmick.
From what I see it's just a stock truck with some flashy parts you can get at the dealer or aftermarket anyways if you have to have them. For less money!!
