Your in- bumper mounted oem fog Silverstar replacement is 9145ST. Check out www.sylvania.com and follow the links to your year Dakota lamp replacement guide.

Ebay, its beautiful. I was searching for silverstar bulbs for my 05' Dakota since i got it LAST May to no avail. A recent search of EBay found a dutch auction for apx $17 a pop. While yeah, thats pricy for a bulb, but i've had silverstars in my neon, focus, and liberty so far, and i feel lost with OEM bulbs in my Dakota and SRT10 (2006 dodge ram also runs the H13ST)

Looking for these now 05 Dak Quad. Two questions:

-are they "street legal"
-will they cause any damage to the h/l housing or cover (burn brighter)

They look nice/

Silverstars will not cause any kind of damage and are street legal everywhere. However, all will be advised to stay away from off brand bulbs regardless of their safe to use claims.

Also, the silverstar bulbs are a non-annoying white....they arent your ricer blue (no offense to any dakota owners w/the blue bulbs)
they are just a more intense white....a good middle ground between OEM and HID

so you found silverstars for $17 a bulb on ebay? you still have shipping. its $20 at your local autozone. im sure wish shipping its still a few pennies less than the $20 at autozone, but with those few pennies i would get the satisfaction of knowing i will have them and they "dont get lost in the mail" or somethin. idk, id rather have a transaction taken place in person. even if i pay a few dollars more.

and btw, what is a dutch auction

I've been pretty lucky with ebay and other online retailers/auctions so far, so i dont really mind it. Plus, out in my area....its impossible to find that H13 in stores. Even an H7 is a tough find out here. the dutch auction is basicly a "i have this many available, so pick the quantity you want now" buy it now thing

Chad, I got the text in the form of an e-mail from Sylvania back in January when I e-mailed them asking about Silverstar availability.
