Hey, has anyone put "racing" stripes on their Dak's yet? I was thinking since I have the Sport Appearance Package, getting two white stripes painted on. What do y'all think that would look like? :-\ Im thinking it would look sweet!

 

Paint??? NO

First...it'll cost some $$$$

Second....if you don't like it, you're stuck with it

Try a cheap universal vinyl kit off ebay and then you can play with it & try it out. If you don't like the color you can change it then. Or you could change it every couple of months to keep it different.

If you got a red truck....black or silver (2) stripes down the middle would look sweet. Or even white like you suggested.

Well, silver would be sweet... hrmmm... and now... in theory... wouldn't the best way to do the vinyl stripes be to get all the wax off first so that the stripes would be applied directly to the paint?

 

Strip the area (of wax) just in the area that you're gonna be applying the stripes

After you put down the vinyl you can wax over the vinyl (after it's dry) & it'll look good....just be careful doing it

So putting more thought into this... Im gonna have sort of a red and black theme going (only two colors) so what you think black would look like on the red truck??

 

Black or silver.....hmmmm. Either one would look very cool. Personally, I would go with silver(flat,not glossy) You were advised not to go with paint.Good advice. You might not like it and be stuck with it.

 

Well I'm thinking here, I may want to go black cuz I'll have the red sport appearance truck, the black tonno, and the red and black tuner tail lamps. So I think black stripes would be **** on the truck... lol I'm sooo happy... haha.

There's some sweet prev. generation R/T's that are red with silver stripes that look bad ***!!

But Black stripes on red are just kind of boring.....just look at a Viper...it'd look boring if the stripes were black:
