Default Hella horns

Need info on replacing stock horns with Hella # 85115 Supertones on '05 Dakota 3.7L. Can I do a direct changeout using existing oem wiring or do I need to use the supplied relay in the kit ? Does anyone know what the OEM wattage draw is for the horn circuit?

If you want the best results, put the supplied harness in. If you hardly ever use the horns and don't care, you can probably get away with the stock wiring, just don't lean on the horns for more than a second or three. I know a grip of people running Supertones and they all love them.

They're loud and really annoying. They will get your attention. But they're directional horns, so it's best to mount them in the grill for full-forward sound.

Just got done with my Supertone #85115 install. Loud? Comparing the oem horn to the Hella, it's like Brahm's lullabye to heavy metal. Want to be heard? You gotta get these. But use the supplied relay and at least 14ga wire(not supplied).

Mounted to the upper crossmember facing forward in front of the radiator. Radiator still gets all the air it needs. Used 5/16" stainless steel hardware(nuts, bolts and lock washers) to mount, not galvanized or zinc coated steel which eventually will rust.
