Default front mud flaps

Has anyone put front mud flaps on their 05+ Dakota? The dealer told me it couldnt be done because there was nothing to drill into. The stock little extensions are pretty worthless, but it looks like they would hold mudflaps. What do you think?

you could get some flat black ones that I think MOPAR might sell that can screw to the back of those pathetic things that come from the factory already mounted.

He's right. Those stock outer extensions wouldn't take the beating that mudflaps do.Ther is nothing to anchor them to. I just have them on the rear of my truck.

I also got the rear factory mud flaps, the molded kind. There really more like splash guards. I left them the dark grey color that they came in though, because thats the color of my bumpers, and I dont really like the flaps to match the paint. I was a bit uneasy at first that they screw into the body. But hey, I guess thats how every mud flap is.
