Default Question about wheels!!

Ok, so I am in the market for some 18s, and possibly 20s, and the only ones I found that I like enough to buy are the American Racing Cartel Blacks... seen here. I know the truck has a 5x5.5 lug pattern, but will the +18 offset work? I'm looking at part number 328-88509 (18s) 328-28509 (20s).

I need help! Thanks everyone.

And for those to lazy to click the link... I have uploaded a pic.

The 18" wheel will work JUST fine...the biggest concern you'll have is just the width, not the size. I've seen several of them with 18"s and several with 20's. I wouldnt worry at all. The black wheels with that chrome lip will really make the truck standout alot more. I love it.

My 01 Dakota had black OEM wheels....and it stood out alot. People would always ask me where I got them painted. It was funny to see their reaction to them being a stock wheel.

Those are awesome looking wheels. I was in Les Schwab getting a flat repaired yesterday. There was a guy w/a 2004 Dak QC getting 18's with Toyo's put on. They had to shave the rear portion of his bumper wraparound to get enough turning clearance. To me thats not cool. But thats me. I want some black & chrome wheels for my black Dak but will stay w/16's. Maybe 17's. I'm going to have to get a 2nd job to pay the truck, the wife's Jeep, and mortgage payments and still have money to buy neat things for the truck!

That's a 2nd Gen Dakota. If they had to shave part of his bumper wraparound, then he was lowered most likely. So long as you dont change the diameter of the wheel any when you go from a 16" to an 18", you should be fine. You could even afford a 1-2in difference and still should have some clearance.

There are two members on this board, FONTANA MOTORSPORTS and BaumbleBee, who both have 20's on their Daks.
