Default Who uses a K&N and whats your result?

Hey everyone. I am toying with getting a K&N direct replacement air filter for my 06 with the 3.7L V6. Has anyone seen an increase in mileage with one of these filters? With todays gas $$$, I was thinking of getting one. My Walmart carries them for a very low price. Plz respond if you have a 4.7L V8 with one as well. Tell me your results, good or bad?

I installed a K&N 63 series intake about a week ago on my 3.7L V6 QC.

Noticeable improvement in throttle response... haven't checked the mileage yet (I was getting 17mpg around town before)... I know, I know, it's just a V6 and I'm not going to get many "kills", hey I knew that when I bought it, but I would have boxed that thing up quick and shipped it back if I didn't notice the difference. I am very pleased.

Installed a 77Series K&N last summer. Some improvement in throttle response, no improvement in gas mileage but then again I have somewhat of a lead foot. What did help my gas mileage though was adding a tonneau cover which dramatically reduces drag. Personally, the K&N was a good move for the performance gain, besides which it gives a cool look to the engine compartment.

I have a K&N 63 Series on my truck... 6spd v8.. and when I first put it on, truck was brand new so I can't really comment on gas mileage increase. But right now, on the highway with K&N and Extang tonno cover, I average 23.4mpg hand figured. So, I can tell you the gas mileage has increased...

Now onto power, I had put 109 miles on my truck befroe I got the K&N, and it was a bitch to get going in 6th gear if I just wanted to go a little faster (60 - 70/5) now it's like I give er a little gas and it'll get there rather easily.
