Model # for rear bumper?
Some old senile 100 yr old jackass rear ended me in a parking lot today, drove off beofre i could get any of his info, and car was brand new so he had paper plates that i couldnt rear *** he drove off [:@][:@][:@] Luckly the ol dodge left a good dent in his altima's bumper and my hitch left a good scratch on his hood
unfortunately he caved in my bumper and it looks like crap.
So anyways anybody know the part # for a 2005 dodge dakota rear bumper? i can find the front one all over the place but no one seems to carry the rear

some one hit my bumper also. called dodge and they are 477.00 just for the bumper. no brackets or hardware. auto zone deals with a junk yard somewhere down so. i think its called green cycle. at the time there were no bumpers avail. but there might be some now.
yeah from the dealer they cost a ton...I've learned better to buy from places like dodgeparts and a couple other places i know of online. It just takes knowing an actual model # to buy from most of them. dodgeparts has the bumper for 270 somethin but gives no model #
i dont think i'd need all the mouting hardware...i mean its all there when you take the old bumper off [sm=smiley5.gif]

It appears your bumper is the "textured unpainted" type. If you tell the parts dept that they should be able to "find" the right one. Another option is buying an aftermarket one. You could try a body shop that has contacts for OEM-style aftermarket parts and you probably could get one for close to half the cost. The addtl problem is that you'll probbaly end up needing some of the rt side mounting brackets as well, and the reinforcment bar (if it's serviced seperately) to boot. You probably won't know until you tear it down. Good luck....
www.wholesalemopar.com has the bumper, 360.00. also they give you an illustration on how the system goes together
