Default Grill shell from dealer

So I went to the dealer today to get some prices on a few things I want to add to my dak. Can't get just the black grill shell for the 06, I have to get the grill complete, which is over $300!!!!! I also checked on the painted bumper cover which was $250, that's just with primer, no paint. Can this be right? I have found the bumper cover through online OEM parts stores and they offer it already painted for $150, but the dealer said it doesn't come painted. I have not yet been able to find the grill shell though and $300 is way too much, I'll just take it somewhere to get it sanded and painted I guess.

I think by the OEM places when they say it comes painted they mean primered.

Check out makeitmopar.com and tell me what you think after you look at the parts descriptions. Besides even if it is just primered, it is way cheaper than through the dealer.

I have checked makeitmopar... bring that number in to the dealer, my dealer told me that that was the number for the primered bumper. It might have just been my service dealer, doubt it, but might have been.

Yeah.....it WAS offered painted originally when the new Dakota came out (hence the part numbers with a paint code), but that stopped quickly.

It only comes primered is what my dealer (my buddy is the parts manager) told me & that was last year, and it still hasn't changed

I have never had anything painted @ an auto paint place. How much do you guys think it will run me to get my current one sanded and repainted? This is the only thing keeping me from installing a billet grill.
