Default RE: Question about the lights in the pic!!!

It's a blue-ish color (or I think it is anyways)

There is voltage applied to a phosphorescent substrate, which in turn glows

yeah...it's sort of a green looking thing...but now that you mention it it gives me an idea...

Get to the circuit at which the votage is sent through, splice the wires and run them off into a multi-LED system (probably 3 LEDs) and point the LEDs toward the guages. This will overcome the glow. hmmmm if I point 6 LEDs, 3 on the bottom and 3 on the top of the guages in front of the guages, I think it would look really nice. A few blue LEDs that aren't in clear bulbs but more of dull diffused LED bulbs would be perfect! OK Stay tuned!

OK so I ordered some SMD LEDs yesterday, 20 blue ones. The lights such as your turn signal lights, airbag, warning lights, those are SMD LEDs and I am going to attempt to replac ethose with the new blue ones that I purchased. I already have the first part of the video instruction done on how to remove the instrument panel. One thing to remember, don't remove the needles, it won't be needed as far as I know. But I hope to get these replaced, firs tI have to go out and buy a new tip for my soldering iron, the micro tip I had broke =/

Wasup yeah i bought my blue xenon bulbs from MCR Style also everyrthing went good was impressed with everything just the high beams didnt last long these blue xenon's were actually alot brighter than the bulbs i had in my mustang, and the whole fog light issue, i knew they were 9145's i looked it up lol, but also i have learned that the 9005 and the 9145's are similar they say, i changed my fog lamps to the silver star's, they were a lot brighter than the stock bulb's, but when i switched to my blue headlamps the silver star foglamps looked yellow weird lol, hopefully one day a company will come out with the projection's for our dakota's those would look sweet and maybe a different front end also lol lata.

eah seriously, a projection fixture, with HID conversion kit installed, that'd look freakin sick! you're gonna let us all know when that comes out right?
