If it is, it is the low grade stainless. I just took mine off over the weekend and it (the factory exhaust) was already begining to rust. I put on a Magnaflow SS (model # 16621) SO/SO. Sounds sweet!

Why is the factory exhaust so restrictive on the 05's and up? I remember the older model 4.7's were pretty fast but with the restrictive exhaust and the added weight this thing is a dog. Can I remove some of the resonators on this thing and get a little bit of hp back? Not too loud but a little better breathing.

I removed both resonators, and it made a little increase in sound, and I dunno. I didn't notice anything different. :-\ Honestly, a waste of 40 dollars.

I noticed a BIG difference with my true dual exhaust though. Sounds perfect. Not too loud, but loud enough to be noticed.

If anything, do a swap, add in a Flow 50 Delta Flow, and remove the resonators, if you are looking for something nice. It will make a WORLD of difference.

The K&N AirCharger FIPK I got for mine increased the torque enough to be noticed. I'm getting my resonators removed today and adding a delta 40 to mine. I don't know how much power you're looking to get from the truck, but definitely the intake and better exhaust will help.
