in ct, i use mobil or sunoco. i stay away from the seven eleven, and extra mart. i run 91/93 because of the chip and upgrades. i found out that the mom and pop gas station are putting water in with there fuel so they get more from the customer and pay less for them to deliver it.

I ran the first 2 tanks of gas through my truck already and didn't get the results I really wanted with the Aamco 87 I ran through it. I'll be trying the 89 this next tank.... I got between 16 and 17 mpg with the 87, but again that's in town with the A/C cranked...

My 05 CC 4x4 with the 4.7L gets 18 -18.5 mpg in mixed driving on Shell 87 Octane. Shell is usually a couple cents more per gallon, but I've always had decent luck with that brand. If Shell isn't available you might wanna try BP. Don't get discouraged if your mpg's aren't what you expected to start off with. Give it a few thousand miles and it should become more consistent.

I run nothing but the 93. Here in TX I have a/c always on and I pull on the weekends so I want it to have as much power as possible. The other day on a open strech of road I finally hit 18MPG I was shocked but pleased. With 3k on it now MPG getting better, at least better than the 13.2 been getting since new.

Hrmm, I have a 4WD 4.7L 06, and I am currently getting 19.5 - 21 mpg. I really can't complain. Other than I tihnk my RPM gauge is reading wrong. I am running 2100RPMs at 60 mph. Meh. Not complaining...... yet.

Flying J is good gasoline. My dad and I used their gas a few times driving to Louisiana last year, but that wa sin his 2.4l Acura TSX, not my truck (and we don't have Flying Js around where I live). But I use Shell all the time in my 4.7, Regular grade, I don't have the HO engine. One I know of called Alliance, their gas is either really horrid or really good, but I hate gambling with my truck so I use Shell. Chevron is good. Someone told me not to put in the Octane boosts cause they don't do anything, but I want to try it someday JUST to say I've tried it lol. 2100 at 60, hmm yeah cause you have 6spd i have a 5spd and at 60 i'm at about 2200.
