I just bought my first Dakota today. I traded my 04 Ram 1500 in on a 06 Dakota Quad Cab. I actually traded in on it 5 days ago but the dealership had to get it from St. Louis and it took forever to get here. Hope Im as satisfied with it as most people seem to be with theirs. So far I love it. I might try to get some pictures up sometime.

 

first and for most congrads. you will be pleased. now take off that intake and get a nice k/n fipk from ebay and dress up that engine compartment.

 

Heres a few pics of my new Dakota. Just put the bed rail caps and the tool box in today. Still waiting on the tailgate cap to come in and the front windos are getting tinted this week. I also would like some opinions on the sport badge. I think Im gonna take it off but I cant make up my mind. Ill get more pics up when I get more done.

I agree, ditch the sport badge. I just got my 06 quad cab 4x4 Monday. I am thinking about getting rid of the 4x4 badge on mine.

 

That's to bad. You could have bought a Raider. lol!!!

The sport badge came off last week along with the dealership sticker on the tailgate. No free advertising on my truck.

 

thats the first thing i did, was take off the 4 x 4 stickers on the bed. i might have some custom vinals made up

 

Hi Richarson, I also got my first Dakota about a week ago. Why did you go from a 1500 to a Dakota? My wife and I had a hard time choosing which to buy. I got worried during the test ride when she said she couldn't tell where the front end was on the 1500. Now that I had the Dakota for a while, I'm happy with the choice we made. Now I think the truck is about the perfect size. Congratulations on your new truck!

My Ram was a single cab work truck. No options on it at all. I started pricing trucks with the employee pricing and relized I could get the dakota quad cab with power everything and keep my payment close to the same as on the single cab Ram with no options. I've had my Dakota for a few weeks and love it so far.
