Body Dink
I bought my truck about a month ago, well this afternoon, while sitting on my porch reflecting over the truck that cost me more than all of my previous vehicles combined, i noticed that the sun reflected weird off of the passenger side door. First thought was that someone had hit the door while the truck was parked in a parking lot. I walked over to the truck and as i looked, the dink was gone, until i look straight down the door frame, sure enough under the door handle, right on the door's edge it was obvious that the "stamping" of the door resulted in a small depression in the door. It is obvious that the paint has not been damaged, and that the dink is a manufacturing defect.
Question is, shouldn't this fall under the bumper to bumper warranty, and is it truly worth the hastle of taking it to the shop where all they are gonna do is bondo it flush and repaint.

I'd just go talk to the dealer. If it's a manufacturing defect, than my thinking would be that, most certainly, they should fix it.
If you feel it is. For instance, my trucks hood, on the driver side, sticks up past the fender (I got in an accident, and they body shop reduced the "stick up," but theres some still there), and, amoung a few other things, I'm trying to get them to give a second-shot at fixing it into "pre-accident" condition. Truly, it sticking up a little bit isn't that big of a deal, but, I don't have anything else to do with my life
.

There are paint and stamping issues with all vehicles. My Dak has those dreaded clear coat pimples that so many have. I had have a slight wave on my hood from the factory. I had a paintless body tech work his magic with some sort of sucker and it's gone. The tragic scenario here is why not is QC catching this at the plant? Why should you agonize over having this corrected that may evolve into even a worse event? Factory mentality is let it go and hope nothing comes of it.
