I'm wondering how effective a T'stat upgrade is myself. I live in South Carolina, so I don't think the low temp issue would be a problem for me. I'm just looking for something to add a little extra. I did put an Ebay air intake on it today and it seemed to liven the truck up a huge amount. The motor sounds better on throttle, it has more power and it even cleaned up the sound of my Flowmaster. After a 1/4 tank and about 40 miles of driving though I've already decided to spring for a better fitting intake as this one seems fairly generic and not as good a fit or have support mounts. In all likelyhood, I think I'm going to keep the filter and just spring for an Airraid intake tube....a lesson learned in hindsight, I could have just gotten the tube and a K&N filter for a few dollars more than the $40 I paid for the Ebay intake.

you would be suprised at how the truck will respond after the stat upgrade. and once you have the complete intake set up go ahead and relocate your iat sensor. this will also let the motor respond better

Everything I have been told, is to not relocate your iat sensor. I guess it has been working for you superdak05, but I would keep it where Dodge put it.

trucky,

Oh man, what about the P57 motor with 2500 hp. I thought you were going to use the gears out of a P117A ???

Wheres those pics at?

I believe others are starting to see my ways a bit, I have nothing to brag about my Dakota,... It's just my work truck. It's those that say they have Everything but can proof any of their info.

If you read his profile and then last 100 posts you can see him contradict himself about 5 times.
He says he has the JetChip but the week before that he says he had his Cams replaced and set off his pcm to be reprogrammed.
I just want to see some pics of his upgrades to see what i want to do with my truck.
