Dealer did me right
I took my truck in for service because the rear wheels felt all warped and funny like and the front was squeelin. Was causing all sorts of icky driving sounds/conditions (2005 QC w/ 31K)
They fixed it and did a great job. The had to replace the front rotors and for some odd reason I got free brake pads out of the deal. They replaced the drums on the rear too ... no more problems.. Once I get rid of those stupid GY tires.. will ride like a 300C
They totally referenced the TSBs and did their job. I am/was sooo surprised.

Interesting. My dealer told me that I had to eat the cost of the rear brake assy as the brakes only have a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. My 05 had 23,000 on it at the time. Dodge considers it normal maintenance. Told the service guy he was smoking f****n rope if he thought i would pay them $228 for parts +labor for OEM crap. Just so I can come back in in another 20,000 miles. Glad your dealer took care of you.

Well, the service advisor was a complete **** to me when I dropped it off and gave me the 12 month/12K mile spiel as well. I talked to the service manager and he said they would take care of me and indeed they did. I printed off the TSBs and took them with as well as a few messages from here and dodgetalk.com documenting that the problems were wide spread. It helps to take them with being that TSBs aren't like recalls in that they aren't required to contact you. Bottom line is they know about 'moderate' issues and do nothing to let you know; you have to be proactive I guess. [:@]
They also fixed some stuff that I didn't ask to be fixed, which was nice. To include:
THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) WAS INADVERTENTLY PROGRAMMED WITH INCORRECT SOFTWARE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) FUEL SYSTEM MONITOR TO MALFUNCTION. EMISSIONS RECALL D46. *TT
STEERING COLUMN SNAPPING OR TICKING SOUND. *TT
LEFT REAR AXLE BEARING MAY NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS. THIS COULD RESULT IN A GROWLING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR AXLE. THIS SERVICE ACTION WILL INVOLVE ROAD TESTING THE VEHICLES AND REPLACING THE AXLE BEARING WHEN NECESSARY. *TT
FLASH: 42RLE - IMPROVED HILL CLIMB CAPABILITY IN REVERSE OR DTC'S P1713 / P1776. *TT
All of that was done in one day believe it or not. I dropped her off @ 0900 and it was done @ 1800!

Best experience at a dealer ever (after the initial Service Advisor CRAP!!!)

I guess some dealerships do care about their customers even AFTER the sale. Happy to hear SRT 4x4 had a positive experience.

I wouldn't know in this regard... I bought it in Oklahoma 3 months ago, used with 25K on the ticker
I work in Kansas and took it to the dealer right down the street
I had a positive experience I think only because I printed the TSBs and stuff from here and dodgetalk.com and talked to the service manager.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER [8D] I guess.. lol
When I first took my Dakota in for brake shake at around 18k,they told me the brakes weren't covered,I told them you call me before you do anything, called me a day later told me it was TSB out on the problem they're waiting for parts and it was no charge. If I was you I'd contact Dodge they probably pocketed your money and charged off the work to Dodge.Best service department I ever messed with was a Ford dealer here in town about 20yrs ago, great people, when you picked up your vehicle it was washed and vacumed, the only thing was the vehicle was happy there to.To bad the manufactors don't get it people will put up with whole lot, if they would really try to take care of the problem and be fair about it.I have over 26k on it now and it started again,I have a buddy in the parts business check for some aftermarket drums, he said a company called Centric has a part number for the drum but they're not available yet.He use to turn breaks when he started in the business,he said outsourcing of parts by the manufactors is the cause of the problems, lighter and substandard material causing all this warping crap and Dodge is not the only one having problems with this issue.
hey srt... where in oklahoma did ya buy your truck? i work for fowler in okc, was just wondering!

My house is on Sunnylane and 44th, so Fowler was much closer, but I will drive 12 miles for $3K
Are you a salesman? What's your job if not? I need some parts.. lol
