Someone back when on a post said it was set to 118mph. I bet its in the PCM if there is a way to adjust or shut off the feature it most likely there. Only guessing though.

my 05 throttles back at 118.00 mph. thats since i installed the jet stage 2 chip. if the truck is left stock. the limiter shuts down at 99 mph. when superchips/hypertech get off there butts and get us a programmer then we would be able to really see what the top end would be. dodge rep said with the right tunning upwards of 130.00 mph

99? That seems a bit too soon. I wonder if it can be adjusted. There is no red line on the tach and I wonder if the manual trans have a different tach. My auto trans shifts at 5500rpm when punched. Of course, it makes allot of noise like it going somewhere but NOT. At 5200 it is said to reach the power curve of 260hp.

If you do undo your limiter, make sure you get better tires or they will fall appart if you go faster then the limit, thats the only reason there is limiter an any car/truck.

My truck was pulling strong and fast untill the limit. I think z-71's are set at 90.

Good point about the tires. I have the BFGs TA KO that came with the TRX4 pac. They are S speed rated. Does anyone know what S tops out at? I saw something at 117mph sustained but I’m not sure that’s right.

I bought my truck through AAFES in Germany and have consistently had it doing 118-120 on the Autobahn. I don't know about 99 mph!?
