Does anyone have one on a 3.7L? I'm wondering if an offset in/dual out will fit. I got one for $25 and $25 shipping, total $50. I'm planning on dumping the outs in front of the axle, but I need to know if the offset in will fit before buying. Thanks.
The flowmaster muffler site list the one that fits or they have a great free tech line at 800-544-4761.......mind you the 50 series are on the quiet side and do not offer quit the performance the 40 series does.....but I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a muffler
I'm looking to not sound like a Honda Civic. I know the 40 starts to sound bad around 3000rpms and I don't want that. I've heard the 50 dumped on a V6 Ram and I think it sounded great, a low V8 type rumble without being so loud it's annoying.
Ya, 50 series is a little quiet for my tastes on a stock motor. now on my uncles built 454 drag car you cant even hear yourself think with 50 series lol.
Hi guys, I just went from the '03 to the '06 and HATE how quiet this thing is. THe only thing I seem to keep coming up with is the Flowmaster 50 series (at a decent price)...or I can go to MagnaFlow for a lot more money. Do you get good sound on the 4.7L with that 50 series? I am ready to order if so and get it out of the current "wussy" state it is in!
With a Flowmaster Delta 50 it will still be semi wussy sounding, the Flowmaster 40 series is by far the most common after market muffler installed on the 4.7L has a nice deep rumble at idel and gives up a nice loud but not overly loud ROWR!
The reason I decided on trying the 50 was because someone on another board had a clip of a 3.7 Ram with a dumped 50. Other factors considered, mainly pipe size and distance from the truck, it sounded great. It had the sound I am looking for, or at least as close as possible with a V6. I know it'll never sound like an 8 cylinder, but I don't want a "redneck roar" as we call it around here, I just want a semi good sound that isn't popping because the main intention is the performance issue, sound it just an added bonus.
