I was looking under my truck today and saw that it has like a reinforced type of bumper hitch. it looks like the design of a reciever hitch just it goes to the bumper instead. anyone know what the weight reating is for it? and is there an aftermarket upgrade to put on a reciever type?

That's actually a Class I hitch. I noticed it myself when I was looking at mine and that was one of the selling points for the truck. My father has an S-10 and the bumper ball on his is rated well below my Dakota.

I got mine at a local U-Haul--they installed - lifetime warranty. I would reccommend it. Had them install a tranny cooler too. Class III.
