Got a good laugh at a kid locally last night. Had a 05 Dakota and he claimed it was a SRT-8 Dakota. 1, there isnt a SRT dakota in the SRT lineup and 2 the freaking decal was on crooked and not even in the same font as SRT uses.
Anyone else have goofs like that? Hell I seen ROUSH logos on a Ram before.

I think thats stupid when people try to make there trucks look like something they are not. I almost changed the badges on my old chevy k-10 once to k-20 ones, but that was because I had took out the inline 6 and droped in a 350 with a turbo350 trans, 3/4 ton axles, and 1ton springs. Ive hooked that truck up to some of my dumptrucks when they where broke down and drug them around the yard at the shop.

But not for the 05 or 06 model year.
Personally I think they are using the SRT moniker a little to freely. Its kinda like when they started throwing Shelby decals on a bunch of Dodge cars when SHelby never touched them.

I also wouldn't laugh at a Dakota someone shoved a Hemi into (kinda like that company that put the Cummins into that Gen 2 Dakota, that was one nice truck). I'd like to see an SRT Dakota, but I will laugh at people that try to make their vehicles something they are not.

I prefer to take my badges off.... on my GTP I had taken off all the badging, hoping the other guy would think its a stock GT

There is a Dakota R/T out. Its got a different interior and hood, as well as special badgeing and body molding.
