Default Whats up 3.7 owners?

I have one..put a flowmaster and a K&N cia on it. I'm getting 26 mpg mixed city and highway. Wish more 3.7 owners would speak up about there mods. I thought I had screwed up buying a 3.7. Now I'm glad I did. 26 mpg and the way I drive thats great! Its funny, you drive around and it feels wimpy. Then put on a Bayliner on the back and it snatches it out of the water without a problem! Not bad!

I haven't bothered to mod mine at all. I'm certainly glad that I don't have the V8, but this v6 just sucks compared to toyotas and nissans. I couldn't afford the frontier, but I kind of wish I could because the engine was just so much better than ours.

Glad you like the V6. It's working well for me too. No engine mods.

I do have to call B.S. on the 26 mpg (especially with mixed city and highway). I drive 90% highway and fill my tank every 4 days. I keep a very detailed log of my mileage. I've never gotten over 21.3 mpg over the course of a full tank of gas. I usually maintain speed around 70 mph. I'm always off of the line easy and rarely race the engine.

If you're not concerned about mpg, then yes, those V6's are better than ours. I've heard reports of <15 mpg.

originally it was for the V8, but a buddy of mine has the V8 and it was the exact same setup as my truck, so I got it and it works perfectly.

Just filled up. I got 24.7 mpg. Fly your right about the 26mpg, I forgot to add that tank was almost all highway. Most of time its 70/30 Hi/city. The exhaust was the big change in my mileage. I only gained 1mpg with the cia.

Just checked out your photos white26golf. Very nice! I'm just about to pull the trigger on those tail lights. Were they very hard to install? Is it a total tail light or do you just place them over the existing one? They look good on your truck. [sm=smiley20.gif]

They are a total replacement, no covers here. ran me 160 bucks. The only things you use from the old setup are the bulbs and harness. Very easy to install by the way.
