05 quad cab Dak, notice some noise appears to be coming from the right upper windshield area. I have checked and no leaks and no air comming through. Maybe noise from the antenna moving around or the vent guards on the door? Only on the rt side and only at highway speeds (approx 65-70 mph). Maybe just a truck noise, but figured I would ask.

 

Do you have hood deflector on,I put one on my 03 Silverado it make a muffled sound like popcorn poping,turned out several other people were having the same problem it was deflecting air into the windshield causing the sound at highway speeds,tried moving it around that didn't help,ended up removing it.

 

yes, I do have a bug guard on the front. The noise is very much like popcorn. Only on the right side thought? Thanks for the info, I will move it around and see if it helps.

 

My noise came from the upper right side also.

 

no wind noise here. had the dak up yo 118 on the highway , just that stupid frt end sailing into the night

 

mystery solved, just has the windshield replaced and no more noise......

 

Got nailed by a rock...problem now solved. I tried taking off the antenna, taking off and on the bug guard and the window vent shades. Was driving me crazy

 

Chryslerdidn't seal up these trucks very well. I had a air/water leak from my back window and I had the dealer reseal it under warranty.
