Default gears!

hey guys this is my 100th post...im lovin this forum its only been 2 weeks. anyways i wanted to share some knowledge.
ive talked to a lot of guys about this and many consider upgraded gears the BEST mod they ever did. and im talking about guys with superchargers and headers/pcm flash/intakes/exhaust/chips....it all comes down to gears. some people say you lose MPG because of the axle ratio and ur engine working harder..but i know people who have not only kept it the same...but actually raised their gas mileage with bigger gears. of course this depends on whether ur gunning it everywhere or not.
i've seen videos of a guy who bought gears for his Automatic dakota....and when it shifted into 2nd and 3rd gear there was tire chirp...that means POWER.
anyways what im getting to is...do some research...check out accuautoparts.com and give it some thought as a next mod. this website is awesome because it helps you pick out ur gear and get the install kit which you MUST have. so check out it and leave me some feedback....and enjoy!

yes, gears are great. but if you own a 4 x 4 you need to change both sets and that gets costly.

I would think that gears are a better upgrade than cams, as long as you go up more than just to the next level of gears. Anything that will help me put power to the ground is what I want. I currently have 3.55's and was going to put 4.10's in but that has been postponed for a bout a year until I get back from the big desert. No point in getting them installed and my wife having all the fun of driving it!

I'm in the Army. Take a look at my avatar, that's what I'll be doing. I will be there no less than 12 months- no longer than 18 months.
