Default Cold plug recommendation-need input

Hi all. I am planning on changing my oem plugs (currently NGK ZFR6F-11G .040 gap) to a colder range since I have the following mods in place: K&N CAI, stageII Jet Chip and 180 t'stat and use 93 octane gas. I have an '05 3.7. Would this change give me any kind of performance benefit given my mods?Any risks I should know about? I have heard pro & con on this issue and need help to make up my mind. One of the plugs I have heard about is Autolite's standard 3923 /.035 gap. Any others? Thanks.

the autolite 3923's are for the 3.7L. I just replaced mine with autolites at 16000 miles. Good thing I did, the oem ones looked like ****. The autolites do run a little better, or maybe its because the oem ones were **** when I replaced them. You decide. Oh yeah, make sure you check the gap when you replace them. Oem's were at .050 when I replaced them and autolites were at .45 out of the box. I regapped them at .35.

Hi white26golf. The 3923 Autolites you installed, were they the standard or AP platinum?

I just got the regular copper plugs. I did some research on the conductivity of several metals that plugs are made from. Unless they start making plugs out of silver, copper is your best bet. Platinums aren't going to do anything for you except sound cool.
