Thanx for the info. By the way, your truck looks great. Nice rims! Size and make?

this is why i lowered the back instead of lifting the frt. easier. if the truck is 4 whel then the price is about right if 2 wheel cut price in half. i went to sears automotive and got a 4 tire balance and rotation for and alignment for 80.00

ok, let me get this straight,- 100 bucks for the kit, we'll say 100 bucks for the alignment just for arguments sake, 200 bucks for the install! You've got to be crazy.

Can someone explain to me why they would want to level there truck? Im not being sarcastic, I really dont understand. Wouldnt you always want to rear to sit higher? It squats with a load in the bed anyway. And, over time, and much heavy loading, it could sag anyway, which I consider a problem. I want as much ground clearance as possible, I mean its a pick-up. I have a 4x2 with 265/75-16's and people love how my truck sits higher then alot of 4x4's. Whats the purpose of leveling? Doesnt it lower the rear??

There are two ways to level your truck, with a rear drop, or a front lift. I decided on the the latter and have a two inch lift on the fron of my truck.

Ok white 26 golf, you convinced me to try it myself, I ordered the kit from trailmaster today.
I will let you know how it goes, A friend here is going to help me , he is in the guard and we are going to see about using the facilities at fort stewart.
Thanks for all the advice.

I did mine in the garage one evening with the factory jack. Non OSHA approved method of course , but you can do it pretty easily by yourself. Only thing I needed was the spring compressor which I bought the cheapest one from Auto Zone. I went a few months and then had the front end aligned. I've got the $$$ for tires so I stopped by the forum here to pick up some ideas.

I see you are in Savannah captainredfish and I assume by your title you love chasing those wiley reds. I am just south of you in Brunswick. Here is a pretty crappy pic (cell phone) of my truck and boat. Shoot me an email if you need help.

The retirees get to use the craft shop here at FT Bliss, so I don't see why a Nasty Girl wouldn't be able to. Hey gatruck, You should check out the Yokohama Geolander AT+II I've read a lot of great reviews about them on www.tirerack.com.
