I think they quoted you about 300 bucks too much.

Which level kit? The urethane hockey puck or the all steel one?

That is bull****, alignment should be no more than 50 bucks.

I installed mine myself. Every Army post has an auto craft shop where you just pay for your time (4 bucks an hour) and they have every tool you could need, and every bay has a lift. It should only cost you as much as the labor is to replace the front shocks, because essentially those are the steps you take to install them.

I would say no more than 200-250 bucks.

An alignment is necessary after the lift. Don't know how much that is, but it sounds like they're raping you on labor. White26golf did his own, maybe he has tips and can describe what was involved in installation. Can you do it yourself?

I'm not saying don't get the alignment, I was saying the alignment should only cost on average 50 bucks. It's only a two inch lift. Actually, I didn't get one. My truck still drives straight as hell, no pulling on mine.

Your going to need an assortment of wrenches and sockets up to 1 inch (metric and standard), spring compressors and you can do it in your drive with your truck jack and a jackstand. Some Autozones's will let you rent these. A buddy for help might not be a bad idea. I did mine on post at our auto craft shop, they have a lift and I only had to pay 4 bucks an hour for bay time and tools. Took me 3 hours total.

I have done more engine and transmission work in the past, never suspension work.
I also do not have access to a lift.
I am just not sure I can do the job on my own.
