I had a post about these a while back and figured some of our newer as well as long time members might be interested in checking them out. I have 4 different styles in the 12" size which I change out as the mood strikes me. do these improve reception at all or only look better? if anything i would think a shorter one would get worse reception?

 

My own personal experience with my set of AMI stubbies is that it neither degraded nor improved reception compared to the stock antenna. Weak stations remain weak, and my strong stations still come in crystal clear. That being said, I think it is a very cool appearance mod.
