Default my first mod

I did my first mod to the truck today, I took the muffler off lol. I put a piece of pipe in its place. sounds ok, still quiet.

it still has the cats and the resignator things on it I just took off the muffler. when I punch it when it shifts into second it does a little engine brake noise then a little into 3rd but not as much. think this is from the lower backpressure? anyone elses do this without the muffler but with all the other stuff still on it?

I did that with mine it sounds pretty good compared to stock,that noise you hear I think is the computer laying off the gas for the shift,suppose to help it go easy on the trans.my brothers Magnum RT does it,sometimes it sounds like it has a clutch and you're shifting gears on his.

nope, mine snapps into gear. like it wants to rip your head off. sounds mean when it shifts. strong, not the lazy type.

it sounds like it is cuting fuel before the shift. superdak05- does the jet chip affect the shifting?

superdak you have the advantage cuz of your heavy modding, you may have more than anyone on here but im not sure. anyways that chip works with ur other mods and makes u shift better so dont give false hope to the stockers!

I was just wondering because I know on some vehicles they help firm the shifting. Just didnt know if it did that with the dak

Changed it today, I cut it off right behind the rear passenger door and put in a 90 and now it exits from a chrome tip right in front of the rear tire. I will post pic as soon as I can take some.
