Does anyone here know if it's possible to swap the Chrysler Aspen dashboard in my 05 Dakota? They look like the exact same dashboard, except the Aspen has a more luxurious look to it, and it's BLUE backlit, which is what I want. I know, I'm crazy, but it is looking more like a fun mod for my truck

See Jim and I have look we are going for, all blue interior lighting, except his truck is black, and mine red. Too bad he lives like 2370.24 miles away or I'd have him help me with this.

I can almost 100% gurantee that an Aspen will NOT fit a dakota. As a DCX salesman I can assure you these vehicle are not even close to the same dimensions.

jonnymagnum is right...i have one of those things...a dremel...and...a ruler...and some super glue. that's a start right??

anywho...mbssbm, since you work for dodge, I know the guages are a back glow and not bulb-lit; and so you can't exactly change the bulb with a different color. Is it possible to just switch out the guage faceplate? I dunno...I'm still not convinced it's not possible...im stubborn...sorry...lol

 

I remember long time ago, a guy took out his instrument cluster to paint the surrounding of it black, so I know you can take out just the cluster of both of these.... they look exactly the same. We aren't talking the whole dash here, just the speedo, tach, oil temp, and fuel level.

At least, this is what jarjar and I are thinking at least.
