I wonder how long a PowderCoat job would last on a vehicle... They seem to last on everything else for a long time. I wonder if I should do that to my truck after sanding it down to the metal.

Ok so here is the deal, I changed my mind cuz I didn't want my stock and summer wheels to look the same, soo I ended up doing like a gunmetal color.

Powdercoating holds up REALLY well on a vehicle. What it is, as the guy who did mine explained, is a powder that when heated, turns into a plastic coating. He's had his wheels on his WRX done for two Michigan salty winters, and no problems yet.

And another pic is of our newest addition to our house.

Whola, Nice look! I want this process done. The Gunmetal color on the TRX4 wheels would look outstanding with the Mineral gray paint. Thanks for the post. I just need to find some shop in Central FL that will powdercoat my wheels.

If you can find someone, my mixture was 75% wet black, and 25% Mercedes silver. We think the black weighed more, so when it was baked, the black sunk to the bottom, and the silver came through the top. The picture doesn't really show the detail in the wheels. It's like, gunmetal silver, with a black sparkle to it. Looks really awesome in person. ;-)
