as far as bigger tires. not unless some serious gearing is gonna happen. but if you are gonna be bangin around light mud holes a tire upgrade would be nice. and yes the frt shocks are terrible. they make a small leveling kit for the frt.

As far as tires go, you can also look at the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's. Mine were $735.00 installed and they are the best tire on the market. You can go to TireRack.com and research for yourself. I did my research before buying tires and I am glad I did! Good Luck with your mods.

From what I have seen, The Revo's are number 4.

I'm getting the Pirelli Scorpion A/T.. THOSE are rated number one.

Just for proof

Yeah the pirellis are awesome for off roading from what the tire rack says...I hear they aren't that expensive either (depending on what you consider expensive). I like my tires, they're #8 on the list but they're getting good traction. When I went up to the snow 2 days after getting them put on, I didn't even need the chains I had purchased, just kind of plowed my way through anything that started to give me problems. The tire rack says it all right there though

BTW, The Scorpian ATR's are ranked#1, and the standard Scorpian A/T's are ranked #11..The ATR's don't look quite as aggresive in their tread design....I think I'm going to go with the General Grabber AT 2's......

I have 33s on my 9 year old 3.9 v6 2wd and it still performs very well offroad. The 3.9 is a very torquey motor and I, personally, don't think it gets enough credit. I have a 3" suspension lift and 2' of ground clearance in the front. These truck are very capable, just as capable as full sized trucks in my opinion. I wish I had a 4wd sometimes though. When it comes to real slow stuff, the 4wd really takes the cake.
