trade it in for a full size. these trucks have limited ground clearance. if you want to go throught small puddles and stuff ok. but any major inclines might bottom out over the top.there are some people that have body lifts and torsion cranks but dont know if thats enough for major wheelin. if you want to go off the beatin path for a few ok. but dont go wheelin in the mud. 6 banger doesnt have the torque if you get stuck
A. get BFG All Terrain TA KOs (4 are about $800 with tax)
B. buy the suspension lift for $2200
C. Get better shocks, the stock shocks for our trucks SUCK.
C-a. Try the TRX-4 Shocks for our trucks, they're more heavy duty made for off roading.
I dunno what else, maybe put a snazzy lightbar on top like I did...$40 at Lowes, that was for the steel bars and brackets and paint...I made my own.

alright jimbo thanks. do they make a suspetion lift for our truck? would a 3 inch body lift kit do any thing to help?

a body lift just lifts the cab and the bed of the truck, doesn't inscrease clearence. Though getting bigger tires would help. Last I heard the 265/75/16 BFG All Terrain TA KOs were on backorder, but I would definitely go with those! What rims do you have on your truck? The basics, the SLT, or the Chrome rims? The Chromes are 17" rims I think the other two are 16". With the 3" body Lift I'd still stick with the same size tire as I put up there.
I got 255/70/16 tires and they gave it enough lift to show a tad. Getting a 3" bod lift with the new tires would be sick looking
, cost ya a lot of money though...over $1200. I am really thinking about getting a 3" body lift with the leveling kit soon, once I finish a few of these jobs for clients I'll be set for body lifting.

torsion crank? i havent a slightest clue what that is haha...I'm not a total expert in this stuff, I know what most things are these days but yeah...dunno what a torsion crank is...
If you get the 265/75/16 it should raise the truck about half and inch to an inch. Mine raised the truck about half an inch I think...not too sure, didn't take measurements before and after haha.

How are your gears? I am about to install 4.10's as well with a Detroit Truetrac. And by the way, I know we don't have the V8, but you would be suprised how good the V6 is with some small upgrades.
