Sub Box
Should've done a search....I posted way back in October or November of 2005 that it fit. I was the first person to do it actually.
The rear seat bolts & shape looked exactly how it did in my old '04 Dakota Quad Cab.....low and behold....it was the same.
I bought it thru Crutchfield, so even if it didn't fit I could've sent it back for a full refund

I am here to tell you that a ten will fit in this truck, provided you are willing to compromise. If you look at the center console in the front seat, and the space between the back seat (where the cup holders are) there is a nice little spot for what ever ten you want... you can go about making your enclosure however you want... as long as you like how it looks, its all good right? I am not saying the MTX enclosure is bad or anything... I just dont like the calibure of subs that fit into those enclosures. I am testing out an MDF enclosure right now that holds a single Alpine type X. my dimensions of the box are as follows... for those of you interested. 11 1/4in long, 11 1/4in wide, 16 1/4in tall... (0.649ft3 after sub displacement) now this box is just for testing the correct cubic airspace for this sub. it is fugly. but it metered at 136db today on the termlab. I will fiberglass it to contour with the seat and console, and angle it back about 15 degrees or so, that should look alright.
Just trying to show another option is all... I will work on getting a pic up for you guys to see.

That sounds like a sweet idea....don't get me wrong, but that's if you're going strictly for (louder) sound
If you want a stealthy/hidden box that won't take up space, then the MTX box is what you want.......you won't get the same sound as a big box, but it adds some REALLY NICE bass with a good sub (like the JL Audio 10W1v2)

I agree, I wasnt bashing. Some people are looking for loud though. I was just trying to toss out anouther angle. The only thing I dont like about the MXT is not being able to flip the seat up. I keep my spare tire kit under the smaller flip up part. (a breaker bar, some other stuff... nothing major. I could probably do without. lol)
Nah I hear ya on that part (not being able to flip up that seat). It didn't bother me though because like I said....I hid my amp underneath that part and then no one can steal it...lol...cuz it won't flip up.
Why don't you put your spare stuff by the tire jack on the other side?? There's quite a bit of room back there actually.

I have moved it over to the longer side since I posted... I mounted my amp under the 40 part. I am working on fiberglass now... got the sub tuned in with the amp, and am hitting 136.8 with no deadening. so thats next on my list fatmat the back wall, roof, and rear doors as a start... also need to find a way to get a batcap in the truck. lights dim drasticly even with a yellowtop under the hood.
