Default Sub Box

Does anyone have a the sub box for a 05-07 dakota quad cab? I am looking to get one but 230 is alittle pricey for a single 10" box if you dont know what its going to sound like.

No one makes one that allows for you to keep the seat. I had one built to fit behind the right rear seatback. It barely fits and I can not lift the seat up.

Build one that goes between the center console and the rear seats. That is what I did with mine. Got the box plans from a guy that has a 2002. You won't be able to use a 10" but you can use an 8" Kicker L5 or L7. I have an L5 in mine and it does okay. This summer will do an L7 and a bigger amp. The sub fires down. Email me at chumkiller@yahoo.com if you would like the plans he sent me. He used 1/2" MDF but I used 3/4". Those Solobarics can wreak havoc on a thin box.

I was thinking about making something along the lines to this picture--maybe out of carpet covered MDF....With maybe one sub, with it's magnet protuding down into a hole cut in the floor under the L/R seat bottom. Wire in an amp and you've got a "hidden sub AND you can lift up the seat for louder sound or lower it for passenger space.....Do you think that would work?

I had mine for sale a while back, tasman, but you passed on it

I think I sold it for like $180 shipped or something......it's definitely worth it though (the MTX box)...just upgrade the sub though

You mean MTX box??

It goes behind theback seat behind the driver's seat (the 40 part of the 60/40 rear seat)

The only thing is that you can't flip up that part of the backseat with the box installed......I hid my amp underneath the seat there (when I had it).......it's a very stealthy setup!

This is with the seat back off:

And where my amp was (seat flipped up for the picture):

Actually, I did thes with 8" subs. I'm now about 75% done with a simialr box that will use 2 10's. I'll have pics soon. The center consol thing can be done with 2 10's.

I mounted my amp under the right rear seat and had a box built like the MTX and mounted in the same place.

Had I known this MTX would fit my 06I would have bought one, but they are listed for an 04. Oh well.
