To those of you who are Nascar fans it is another sad day for the sport. Benny Parsons passed away this morning from lung cancer. He will be missed as was Bobby Hamilton very recently. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

 

benny and bobby were young guys, i dont follow nascar that much find it boring watching people go around in circles. same as golf, but man what an early age to die. i just recently buried my sister, who was 41. toughest thing i had to do was tell the doctor to turn off her life support. had an asma attack and that was it. cut off all the air to her brain and she never recovered.

 

Very sad indeed. Although I was not huge of Benny's it is a BIG loss for Nascar.

 

Yes , BP was one of the greats. His commentary will be missed. He was so full of life at the end. He even did commentary while under kemo. Its a sad day.

 

I'll miss BP in the commentary. I'm a huge NASCAR fan and always enjoyed listening to BP because everything he spoke about, he experienced. He knows what is going on in a car as it circles the track and was always able to clearly explain it. He will be missed.

 

I am a big NASCAR fan......I grew up watching local races and now as an adult I have enjoyed how much nascar has gown in the public eye from all the years that people like Benny helped build it to what is has become......sadest day I remember what when Dale Earnhardt was killed at Daytona......unlike football or other sports these guys give their whole life to the sport from begining to end.....they are all my heros.
