Any one have any idea what the real world trade in on these things are, Quad Cab SLT sport appearance package, 20,000 miles, KBB says $15k but I know it's not gonna bear near that, anyone traded in their's?

I had gotten a great deal on my 99 when I traded it in for the 05. They gave me 15,000, and I owed 16,000 on it. I checked kbb and it said my 05 was worth 25,000 with only 20,000 miles on it at the time. I barely have any chips or scratches on it.

 

I think it all depends on the deal you are working too, I trade in my 03 SXT and got what I owed on it plus got them to add the bumper to bumper warranty on the truck I was buying 04 SLT and basicly I just rolled over the loan to the new truck with zero out of pocket nothing down......just swap and drive away....in turn what they pay off on my truck was and what they resold it for a few weeks later was a 5k bump for them....and I paid 1500.00 over what they got the truck I was buying from them minus the warranty but I am sure that didn't cost them much.....kbb on the truck I got was 4k higher than what I paid for it....so this time both buyer and dealer made out.

Yeah with huge rebates on brand new ones....the used 2005-2006 ones have crappy resale

Then the valuewill eventually plateau off as they get older
