I've been looking around on here for about 6 months now, since I picked up my truck, but this is my first time posting anything. Figured it was time to say hello. My dak is an '06 4.7 6-speed 4X4 I ordered while I was stationed overseas in Dec '05 and picked upthis past Aug when I got back. So far I've had a Line-X liner sprayed in over the rails, K&N FIPK, 2" leveling kit, windows tinted, chromestuff hereand there, debadged, pulled the rear resonator and muffler off (sounds good to me...), and just recently put on 18" Helo black Maxx 6 wheels with 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers (took some trimming of the inner fender wells, rubbed a little when going lock to lock on turns).I'll try to get some pics up in a little bit.

Welcome....Nice wheel/tire combo there....By your name, were ya stationed in Hawaii? I spent 8 years there myself in the 90's (not in the military, however).....Can tell by the snow on your tires you're no longer there!!lol Me either!

 

I can get some pics of the trimming in the morning, too dark out right now.

And no, never stationed in Hawaii, its my first inital, last name. I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for the last 3.5 years, left back in Aug and got stationed in Enid, OK. First time really having to deal with snow, not to bad, just makes a mess of things I'm finding out.

 

Welcome to the site. Nice looking rig. I like the wheels, and i might have to go in that direction with the color of the wheels. How much did the wheels go for?

 

I think I paid like $185 a piece through 4 Wheel Parts Warehouse. I originally ordered the XD Series Rockstars in black, but after like 2 weeks of waiting on them to show up, I called and they then tell me that those wheels are on backorder till mid-March at the earliest. So I took these instead, and now I'm glad I got the gloss black instead of the flat black.

 

Man that makes me want to either paint or powdercoat my wheels black. I have the same color truck, and I think it looks so much better with black wheels.

I'd personally get a painted front grille for your truck though...I know you're trying to keep a chrome theme, but it'd look sweet!!!
