UPS dropped me off, a briefcase!!!!!!
Meh, for being jsut a component system, if they are running at about 200RMS to them, and set a crossover at about 160Hz, I doubt they'll hit hard. I want to be able to push them at loud volume without distortion. There IS a reason I have a JL 13w7.. :-)
That won't be bumping until about mid summer though.

Yeah Clif Designs is some high end ****...or so I've heard....very nice Frenchy!!
What would be nicer is if you finished your (sub) system though...lol
I'm working on a new setup for my truck. The 3.55's went back in today (argh...slow now, but hopefully better highway mileage), but I need a stereo again. I'm thinking I'm just gonna throw my 2 JL subs & RF amp from the Redline in the back for now.....thinking about a new HU at the moment though. Can get a nice Panasonic from Crutchfield (with a free $50 iPod cable) for $140 from scratch & dent store....or $162 from the Outlet......or $180 brand new. Includes the install stuff too & free shipping. Haven't decided though. I want a Pioneer HU again, but I don't like the look of the new ones.

Still definitely getting the lowering shackles, but gotta wait til winter is over.....same with the exhaust....I want that too, but it'd be pointless to put an aluminum one on during winter to just watch it rust right away....gotta wait til spring on that too.
Sorry for post whoring...just an update

13w7 huh, thats my boy! i wanted a 2 12w6's in my ram but they wouldnt fit so i had to settle with w3's. the 2 still hit hard. im glad somones puttin the best brand out there to use! i sure miss my system. you need to dynomat the doors and back wall. it will make a big dif. if you can, dyno mat the roof and floor. i didnt have the roof or floor done, but the doors and back wall helped audio sound and helped keep road noise out!
Yeah I'm all about JL Audio too, over here
W3's are still some nice subs though Night Runner!
Yeah I should probably Dynamat my back wall (did on my '04 Dakota when I had it), but I don't know if I'll go that far. It definitely helps with the rattling......guess I'll wait and see how bad it is at first and then decide if I gotta do it. But I gotta wait til it gets warm out anyways.
But yeah as a bare minimum the back wall needs to be Dynamatted.....the doors second and the roof third. I wouldn't Dynamat the floor unless you got money to waste though....there's already some (crappy) factory deadening material there, but if you got a HUGE system I guess it wouldn't hurt because it would keep the road noise down.
my 2 cents

ya id def do floor last. and ya i loved my w3's just wish i could have gone for the gold, but in the reg cab (01) theres only so much space. still loved it, real smooth, miss it. jl's the way to go if you can afford it.
I had 2 JL Audio 12W3v2's before and those were sooooo nice (for the money)
Yeah I got 2 JL W1v2's right now in a huge box that was in my Redline (which is leaving me on Monday [:@])
See....I had a JL 10W1v2 in a MTX Thunderform powered by a RF Power amp in my QC up until last August (as well as aftermarket Infinity tweeters, Infinity door speakers, and an Alpine HU)....then I got the Redline and ditched all the stereo **** in my truck since I wasn't gonna be driving it anymore. But I sold the Thunderform with the MTX sub in it & kept the JL sub.
SO then I bought another JL 10W1v2 sub and put that in a Audiobahn box & threw that in the back of the Redline.
But now the ex is taking the car back and now I need some stereo back in the Dakota again...lol
So because it's winter, I think I'm just gonna flip up the rear seats in my QC and if the box will fit it's going there. It's a triple sub Audiobahn box with a slanted back and it fit perfectly between the wheel wells in the Redline....I just mounted the amp in the middle and hid all the wires in the middle section. I thought it was clever anyways....I put two terminal cups on each side and then a grommet in the center to run the wires....I just left the terminal cup that came on the box in the right rear corner because I didn't have a way to plug it. Maybe I'll glass up a box in the summer....I dunno. Here's some pics of what I got to work with & how it looked it in the Redline:

i work at a car audio shop and we used to carry like 3 of their amps. Not bad at all and the price was very cheep compaired to others. The amps would come with white gloves to put on to handle the amps!!
