Not bad, I woulda went with alpine though. Hehehe. Dan, what you should do is this..

When you get the adaptor, and all that stuff, have someone plastic weld the adaptor where it belongs, have em weld it smooth, then paint the whole center bezel silver, or whatever color you want it. It'll look a heck of a lot better than having the silver bezel, and then a huge black square, and two half circles.
I had the Alpine deck before...remember?? I just wanted a deck that was iPod compatible and had some cool graphics (which the Alpine doesn't even offer)......I wanted a Pioneer, but I don't like the looks of there newer ones....I like there stuff from 2-3 years ago. And the Panasonic one was a good price and looks sweet....so I'll find out. If it sucks, I'll just send it back and get something else (like an Alpine or Pioneer...lol)

I know what you're saying about smoothing out the bezel, but I really don't wanna screw around with it....just put the deck in and leave it...it's winter. I didn't mind how it looked before anyways. Maybe if I get bored in the summer or need a project I could do that.

What's funny is that you said "have someone do it".....I'd do it myself man....lol. I'm taking autobody classes in school, so I'm pretty sure I could smooth out a bezel...lol
