Yay for birthdays!
So, I have my 21st birthday coming up soon, a while back I got a ticket for speeding, so I've been afraid that I was gonna have an insurance increase... anyways.
My dad called me tonight, goes,
"Joe, what are you paying for insurance right now? (thinking my insurance was gonna raise)"
"Uhmm, 183 a month, why?"
"Well, I got a letter from your insurance company today."
"Uhmm, did it raise? (worried)"
"Well, the letter says your insurance is going to drop down."
"Are you serious!?!?"
"Ya, so you are going to be paying only 110 a month now."
So that is the end of my story...
My birthday is on the 12th... soo how sweet is that?

lucky.....my insurance never came down when I turned 21. (cause my record was too bad) I'm paying $600/month on the 99 and $150/month on the 88.
but anyways I dont really remember a whole lot about my 21st birthday
I'll be 22 in a couple months.. so lets see how that goes

Frenchy,
I'm not sure what you mean by "a while back" but keep in mind that an Ins Co. may take a few days to 6-8 months to review your record and increase your rates based on its findings. Unless you live in a state like MO and can easily reduce your ticket to a non-moving violation, you will likely bite the bullet for this sooner rather than later, and for years to come I might add. Questions to ask..... How far apart were the ticket and expiration/renewal of your policy? Did you fight the ticket and if so what was the outcome?
So happy B-day and remember that when you turn 30, your rates will decrease dramatically.

Yea, I just turned 20([:'(], can't wait till 21)and my insurance dropped probably $50-75 for every 6 months (so its around $200/mo now I think). Not much at all, but very dollar helps.
Of course, after I pay my truck off, my insurance will be about half as much. April can't come fast enough...
