just wondering
What kind of thoughts go through all your minds when deciding on what mods to do?? cost, appearance, ease of installation, like for instance, I am debating on getting the euro taillights for my dakota and caravan (both 05's) OR projector headlights for the dakota. Thinking, the way I drive, most people would see the tail lights over new headlights. AND I can get something for both for the same money I would be spending for just the head lights. Just wondering (and bored waiting for the game to start!)

I dont usually go for appearance. I go with functional. it seems to me. and this is just my opinion, but the headlights would give a better view of the road, and thus more functional. I usually think of benefits and functionality when I mod. H.P. and drivablity are high on my list. cost doesnt usually come into play. It just takes longer to do the mods I want if they are expensive. I usually budget things out that I cant do myself, so that after a while I can do multiple things at once, and save time in the shop. (does that make sence? on stop instead of 2 or 3...)

has to be performance first. i dont believe in credit cards so if you cant afford to pay for it in cash than you really dont need it. who wants to pay 15 to 20 % intrest. but than again there are emergency situations that may need a card but why, when cash will do.

I agree on the cash, in God we trust, all others pay in cash!!! but where do we allocate the cash? I "think" I did all I can for performance (without voiding the warrenty and making the towing of the boat unbearable). so I agree with the performance first thinking also. I have not heard good things about the projectors to make me want to mess with the headlight wireing. The tail lights are just a plug and play type of thing. So I guess I should have also including do you take the warrenty into consideration when doing a mod? oh I wish they made silverstars for the 05 dakota. are the PIAA's worth the c-note?

I'm very happy with both my euro tailights and projectors. The projectors especially. Pretty expensive like you said but well worth it. I was skeptical at first but they turned out to be pretty cool. It's different.
