Hi im David i have an 06 Dakota Club Cab Sport Black im new to this site and Forum.

I need help finding some parts i busted up my truck.

Also i have a question, I T-Boned a Nissa Sentra i was going about 45-35mph at time of impact my airbags did NOT deploy but the airbag lights did light up and are lit to this day (wreck was in early December 06) Told dodge about it they sent it to special investigations and told me that my airbags should not have gone off because most of my damage is cosmetic, BUT they could not/ would not tell me why the lights came on and are still on.... WHAT DO I DO KNOW? I want answers.

Here is a list of parts i need i dont care if they are used what color they are or aftermarket.
PS=passanger side DS=driver side

Front bumber w/ Re-Bar

Cosmetic! Are theykidding?!! A 35-45 impact should absolutely have deployed the air bag and I would not call that kind of damage cosmetic. If they won't give you any satisfaction call/write to your state's Attorney General's office. Take pictures. Document everything. This is not right!

 

Where's your insurance company in all this? If anything, for the liability issues with the other veh/passengers...They could get you intouch with amkt suppliers of crash parts too.

Quite right. But I would think Dakota2nr would have done that first thing. Keep us posted.

 

the airbags didn't go off!?! holy crap at 25mph I'd think they'd go off even then! Take luvmydaks advice and possibly get someone from the state involved in that. As long as that airbag light is on, your airbags are disabled, which makes it unsafe for anyone to ride in it. Hey for the parts you need. I am possibly getting a new DS headlight fixture soon, mine, has a small chip out of the corner of it, but it does not affect the use at all, it's just chiped. Here is a pic of it below. When I get my new one I will be happy to send you my old one for like $20 (shipping costs and all).

Your air bags will not neccessarily go off depending on speed. The air bag is designed to go off depending on how fast you come to a stop. Your seat belts are also a parts of the SRS system and may have been the only safety device needed in this impact. If you did not come to an instant stop, the bags weren't supposed to go off. I work at a body shop here in CA and I see cars all the time that look like the bags should have gone off but haven't. If the air bags go off when they are not supposed to, they will actually cause more damage/injury. Hope this will help. Good luck with the truck......
