Not trying to be a pain, but my question is, can I use stainless steel screws instead of rivets? I prefer not to use rivets.

if you look at the pic. the left side is one piece. and the right side is one piece. the gap between the top and bottom is were the plastic part of the frille goes. even though it is in four sections they are combined as a top and bottom that way you can can an acurate fit. also i bought mine off of ebay and paid no shipping.also if you look at the top and bottom rails were they rivet onto grille you will see mounting holes.
